Clement Gignac and Caisse de depot

image-thumb7The former Chief Economist of National Bank Financial Group, Clement Gignac, will in all likelihood he entered the National Assembly as a member of the Liberal caucus June 22, and probably will join shortly after the council of ministers . It will be the Liberal candidate in the election in Marguerite-Bourgeois, the county of former Finance Minister Monique Jerome-Forget. It is a safe county. He should win easily. It is unfortunate that this occurs after the parliamentary committee to explain the loss of the Caisse de depot. This exercise of public questioning as was expected in my opinion, rather disappointing in view of an apparent lack of expertise in finance and financial markets of most

of those who break the questions, except perhaps PQ Francois Legault. Over the past 20 years, Clement Gignac worked for the National Bank and its broker National Bank Financial, as well as Laurentian Bank Securities. With an innate sense for communication, it has built an enviable reputation as an analyst and strategist for the financial markets. His analysis of risks associated with changes in commodity prices, house prices and prices of stocks and bonds, has enabled its readers and those who have attended conferences in recent years to better understand the ins and outs of financial markets. It could be very helpful during the crisis of the Caisse de depot. Moreover, others will tell you he was placed in a funny position, having worked all these years with National Bank Financial, the broker who made good business by selling ABCP to fund the deposit. And who knows, it may one day be the head of the Caisse de depot he was appointed Minister of Finance.
