Brussels investigates the distribution chains for failing to adjust their prices to market crash

The European Commission has undertaken an analysis of the "margin" of benefits accruing to the distribution channels in food prices because consumers have not noticed the slump in home prices last year.
For example, grain prices have been reduced by 50% compared to 2008, the meat has stabilized and olive oil is down 30%, according to data from the European Commission. (more...)
