The times change: The preferences of the young people in the labor market

With the passage of the years, the generations change. Not only the culture is modified, the labor language, clothes and appearance, but also behaviors and preferences. That is something fundamental to consider by all that one tie ones to the work with young people. Nowadays, the values are others that prevail at the time of evaluating a position or a labor supply, that contrasts decidedly with those of 30 years ago back.
In a study realized by the Association for the Progress of the Direction in collaboration with the consultant People Matters in that the preferences of 1,800 Spanish young people among 18 and 30 years are analyzed, the results throw that 60% consider the wage,
the labor atmosphere (the relation with the companions and authorities) and the schedule like the three factors that more condition the election of a job.
Since in past generations it occupied the labor stability, the possibilities of ascent and race within the company and the prestige of the same, they today occupy three very different factors that they speak of very different a social and economic context, like thus also, of an attitude against the work that difference of the one of long ago.
Mobility at labor level is able to break that one bow of loyalty towards a company that took to a life permanence on the part of the worker. Nowadays, the plans of that enter the labor market for the first time are not to remain of by life but, the one to be constantly alert to new and better supplies than allows him to increase their extra labor satisfaction. Less working hours mean more time of leisure, a greater entrance means a greater quality of that free time.
This speaks to us of a change of attitude that extends the labor plane net. One is a evolution in the form to live, to administer the times, the priorities and in this way the effort. If he is better or worse I do not believe that it comes to the case, because one is not to carry out an ethical valuation, but of accepting that the times change and that the employers must be abreast of the preferences of the supply of work, under what conditions will be able to become of the best workers and in what conditions decidedly will not be able to do it.
